09 May 2008- Soaring Temperatures at Tralee |
| |
| We are in the middle of a heatwave at Tralee as the weather has been fantastic recently. Everyone has been having a great time on the beach and some of our braver visitors have even had a paddle in the sea. |
| |
08 May 2008- Hot |
| |
| We pick a good time to build a new polytunnel for Peter our gardener. While it must have been 35c inside he is pacing up and down outside wanting to get started on the hanging baskets as our old greenhouse is ready to burst. |
| |
02 May 2008- May already |
| |
| Well we thought winter was behind us but after todays thunder, lighting and halestones I was beginning to wonder. Behind the showers we are now basking in sunshine ready for the next one. The kids don't seem to mind, they are playing in the play park, on the zip wire or putting at the golf area. |
| |
28 April 2008- Fuel supplies ok in Oban |
| |
| Fuel has been no problem here in the Oban area but we do have 6 petrol staions in this area.
Now the Easter holidays have finished we can get back to the gardens and groundwork. |
| |
12 April 2008- Easter holidays |
| |
| The mountains look fantastic with a thick covering of snow. Its been dry here at Tralee but the wind is cold as its from the North. That did not stop the 80 or so people having a BBQ on the beach last saturday night. |
| |
30 March 2008- Easter Holidays |
| |
| The weather has been kind to us this Easter, its easy to forget that its still March. Everybody seems to be enjoying themselves. I have noticed the odd Easter egg hunt for the kids with parents having to be more resourceful every year. |
| |
11 March 2008- Spring clean |
| |
| It takes 5 months to get the park ready for the season starting Easter 21st March. After all the work done this winter we need to just clean
up and wait for the good weather to come. The only outstanding job is the new Gazebo as the old one blew away in the February gales. |
| |
08 March 2008- Weather at Tralee |
| |
| We've had every kind of weather imaginable at Tralee this week from sunshine, wind, hail showers and rain. Despite all that the daffodils are blooming in the window boxes in front of reception giving the place a feel of spring. We are all looking forward to Easter when we're going to be very busy. |
| |
03 March 2008- More toys for the boys |
| |
| Ian took delivery of his new 2.7ton mini digger today and is off on the park land scaping. I can,t help but feel sorry for Robert as his new shovel doesn't look as shiny now! |
| |
22 February 2008- Wet and Windy at Tralee |
| |
| The lovely sunny frosty weather we've had over the last couple of weeks at Tralee is gone and today it's wet and windy. The waves were crashing on the beach this morning and the wind would blow away all the cobwebs for anyone having an early morning stroll along the sand. |
| |
12 February 2008- Great half term weather |
| |
| Check out our weather page for 2 great photos of nature at work. This afternoon turned out really warm and the stars were fantastic in the clear night sky. There were even people sat around a bonfire on the beach. |

24 January 2008- slow traffic |
| |
| The Last lodges spent the night at Tyndrum waiting for a police escort to Tralee. This morning they have to wait for the snow to be cleared through Glencoe before setting off on the last leg of the journey from Suffolk. At Tralee we are protected from the North Westerly wind with only the odd shower. |
| |

| As I type the new 46x20 lodges are on there way north up the East coast and should arrive tuesday. Its ok here at Tralee, its driving over from East to West in a 60ftx10ft wide 20 ton lorry that makes driving interesting. |
| |
10 January 2008- All is calm |
| |
| Well we got through the first real storm of the year with winds recorded at 104 mph. The only casualty was the Gazibo at the beach, we have still to find some of it. The customers here must have thought they were in hurricane Katrina.
On the upside the beach has had a good clean. |
| |
02 January 2008- Great party |
| |
| New years eve beach party and firework display was the best yet. A clear still night, no rain, a band playing and Ewan making a special apearance playing the bagpipes. Thanks to everybody for donations we raised over £300 for the NSPCC |
